"Of What We Saw..."
by Rich Moran
I was fortunate to be accompanied by two good friends to some of the various shows I saw during the festival. We put our heads together, and found there was favorable agreement about certain performers and troupes. We would like to share with you, which people made a lasting impression.
MALE IMPROVISER
Joe Bill
Joe Bill's intensity on stage, his precision creating dialogue, and clarity of character is exciting and engaging to witness. We would see him perform over and over again.
FEMALE IMPROVISER
Margie Boul
We have talked about Magie Boul of the musical improv troupe, "The Screaming Mee Mee's," since we saw her in the improvised rock opera, "What's Wrong with Robert?" We enjoyed her strong voice, her ease in creating lyrics, and her portrayal of a mother torn between her wayward son, and her hatred of the devil. Interesting as well as funny!
IMPROV TROUPE
"They're the top! They're the Louvre Museum! They're top! They're the Colossium!"
Seattle goga
"Seattle girl on girl action" are fantastic! Not only are they hysterically funny, but they present their comedy with class and intelligence that makes you wish the show would never end. We're star-struck!
A WORD OF GRATITUDE
We wanted to express our gratitude to the festival organizers. Their years of hard work in the Seattle Improvisational Theater Community truly shines through this festival. We appreciated the five days of quality improvised entertainment. The only down side is we couldn't see it all. Looking forward to next year!
